本日，届きました。
The Falcons 'Pow! You're In Love' も含む，全２４曲収録。２５日に発売される日本盤は「全２３曲収録」・・・(?_?)

4.　"Otis Blue" 収録のスタジオ・バージョン(モノラル)。ただし，これまでに CD 化されたものに比べると数秒長い。
5.　手元にある "Birth of SOUL vol. 1" に収録されているものより３０秒ほど長いモノラル・バージョン。
9.　Specialty 時代の録音で Sam Cooke 在籍時のバージョン。
13.　手元にある CD 収録のバージョンより１０秒ほど長い。
14.　ライナーノート(Tony Rounce) によると，Mickey Buckins and Sonny Limbo がプロデュースした Muscle Shoals 録音(1976)。
17.　手元にある CD 収録のものより２０秒ほど短いモノラル・バージョン。
23.　Diana Ross ではなく Florence Ballard が歌っていることは分かっていたがライナーによると，もうこの時点(1965) で Detroit ではなく West Coast で録音されていて，バックのミュージシャンには Sam Cooke のセッションと共通するメンバーが数人含まれていたらしい。手元にある CD 化されたバージョンより１０秒以上長い。

以前，"Hard To Handle: Black America Sings Otis Redding" がリリースされたとき，Sam Cooke が後回しにされたような気がして，Sam のカバー曲集を自分なりに ”Black America Sings ...” というくくりで選曲してみたことがある。

１１月初めにリリースが予定されている表題のアルバムは，さすがに英 ace らしい，ぼくの選曲よりかなりひねりの効いた編集になっている。

20. は，Fame Gang がミュージシャンとしてはっきりとクレジットされている数少ないアルバムの一つなので，アルバム単位での完全なリイシューを期待したい・・・m(_ _)m
