Boz Scaggs の新作と同じ Royal Recording Studios, Memphis, TN で，４０年ほど前に録音された楽曲が含まれているアルバム。
Denise LaSalle の Westbound 時代(1970-76) のシングル集。
1.～ 13. は ↓ と重複。ただし，'Trapped By A Thing Called Love' など一部の曲は，この CD にはモノラルで収録されている。

14.～ 24. の内，15. 以外は Westbound での３rd LP にあたる "Here I Am Again" に収録されていた。そのアルバムも CD 化されていたものの廃盤になってプレミアが付き未入手だったので，ありがたかった。
25. 26. はラジオ用のコマーシャル。

アレンジャーとして，1. 3. 4. には Willie Mitchell，7.～ 21. には Gene "Bowlegs" Miller，5. 6. には Gene "Bowlegs" Miller & Willie Mitchell というクレジットがある。
そもそも Royal Studios は，Willie Mitchell が Hi と関わる以前から(1956-) 個人で所有していたスタジオで，Hi の権利を譲渡した後もこのスタジオは手放していない。

ライナーノート(Tony Rounce) によると，Denise LaSalle が Willie Mitchell と関わるようになったのは，彼女の兄弟(Nate "Na" Allen) の奥さん(Vee Allen) の兄弟(Al "The Perker" Perkins) がラジオ DJ をしていて，↓ を Willie Mitchell のプロデュースで録音したことがきっかけなのだそうだ。Jerry Butler や Willie Hobbs も歌っている曲。

Denise LaSalle が Royal Studios で録音した最初のシングル 'Hung Up, Strung Out' はヒットしなかったものの，次作の 'Trapped By A Thing Called Love' が大当たり [1971, R&B Singles: 1, Hot 100: 13] 。

その特徴的なリズム・パターンを彼女は My Groove と呼んでいるが，それは Bettye Swann 'Make Me Yours' [1967, R&B Singles: 1, Hot 100: 21] や Jackie Moore 'Precious Precious' [R&B Singles: 12, Hot 100: 30] を下敷きにして書かれたことを彼女自身が認めていて，ライブではそれらをメドレーにして歌っている。
その元ネタになった 'Make Me Yours' は，Spencer Wiggins もカバーしていた。

最近のライブでも定番のメドレーらしく，Youtube には複数のバージョンがアップされている。

Denise LaSalle も Sam Cooke の曲をカバーしているけれどもサウンドがモダン過ぎて個人的にはもう一つ。
